A Match, A Taco, Forever
It started with a swipe on Bumble — two strangers, one match, and a conversation that simply refused to end. Their first date was beautifully simple: tacos, easy laughter, and the kind of ease that usually takes months to find. Not ready to say goodnight, they parked outside Starbucks and just talked — about nothing, about everything — until “first date” quietly became “the first of many.”
But what made this different wasn’t the butterflies. It was the acceptance. Somewhere between the tacos and the late-night talks, they found something rare — two people who chose to see each other fully, flaws and all, and stayed anyway. No pretending, no performing. Just two people who felt safe enough to be exactly who they were.
Because that’s the thing about real love — it isn’t about always winning. There were seasons of struggle, moments that felt like losing, days that tested them. But even then, they realized something: as long as they had each other, it never really felt like losing at all. Every hardship became a little lighter, every uncertainty a little less scary — because they were facing it side by side.
In less than two years, tacos and parking-lot conversations quietly turned into forever. And on their wedding day, standing before the people who loved them, that same feeling was still there — the same acceptance, the same safety, the same quiet certainty that no matter what life brings, they’ll face it together.
Because sometimes, love isn’t about winning every battle. It’s about realizing that having each other was the win all along.
Norman and Christine
Some love stories are best told in golden light. Norman and Christine, all the way from Singapore, welcomed the morning at Lake Mapanuepe with a simple picnic, quiet laughter, and a sunrise that seemed to rise just for them. Between shared bites and stolen glances, we found the kind of beauty that can’t be staged — just two people, a blanket on the grass, and a love that felt right at home under an open sky.
Kirby and Airam
Kirby and Airam met in church back in high school — the kind of meeting that happens quietly, over and over, until you realize someone has just always been there. Their seniors in the youth group liked to pair them up, half-joking, and somehow the teasing never scared anything away. It just gave them room to be close without needing a label.
That closeness carried them through high school and into college — a long, easy Mutual Understanding, no rush, no pressure to define it too soon. The community around them made room for that kind of patience, the kind that lets two people grow up before they grow together.
It wasn’t until after college that they finally made it official — and by then, it didn’t feel sudden. It felt earned.
That was 2017. Eight years later, still rooted in the same faith, the same church, the same patient love — Kirby and Airam are proof that some stories don’t need fireworks. Just time, and the right person to spend it with.
Garri and Loraine
The Ride That Found Us
They met at a McDonald’s somewhere in the south — two strangers who struck up a conversation over a shared table. What started as small talk turned into something more when they discovered they both loved motorcycles. Soon, casual chats became weekend rides, and weekend rides became trips across the world together, chasing new roads and new horizons side by side.
Their journey — one that began with something as simple as fries — led them all the way to the Crystal Palace of Aquila in the Sky, where they finally said “I do,” surrounded by the same sense of adventure that brought them together in the first place.
Derick and Tinay
From the sun-drenched shores of Australia to the quiet streets of Japan that had quietly become their second home — right alongside the Philippines, where love first took root — theirs was a story stitched together across three countries and countless memories.
Today, that story found its most beautiful chapter yet: a “yes” spoken beneath the timeless arches of St. Benedict Parish in Silang, Cavite.
Two hearts, three homelands, one forever. 🇦🇺🇯🇵🇵🇭✨
Jet and Tin
They sat two seats apart in a class they both nearly failed to remember the syllabus for, but somehow remembered each other’s name by week two.
Somewhere between missed notes and shared coffee runs, “study partners” quietly became something else. Years passed. Careers began. Life did what it does. But the two kids who once passed notes across a classroom never really stopped choosing each other.
Now here they are — half a world away from that same lecture hall, wandering the lantern-lit streets of Osaka, hand in hand, with a wedding on the horizon and a lifetime of inside jokes between them. The city lights are beautiful, but honestly? They’ve always been the best part of the frame.
Jez and Kaye
Kaye met him at Locavore Kapitolyo — this lanky, “totoy”-looking guy in a checkered polo. Nothing special about the setup, really. But talking to him was easy, and for once she didn’t feel like she had to filter herself.
Their dates started getting more frequent, weekly even, until one night in Manila, overlooking the city, Kaye just asked him straight up what they were. Less than 5 days in. That’s just how she operates — she doesn’t like wasting time on unclear things.
After that date, they were exclusive. It wasn’t some perfect, easy relationship from the start. Kaye’s the type with strong opinions, a feminist mindset, and zero filter — take it or leave it. She let him meet her judgmental friends, her strict parents, all of it. No filtered version of herself. And he stayed anyway.
Then the pandemic hit. Then came harder years — work problems, personal stuff, things neither of them planned for. Still, he stayed. Not because things were easy, but because he kept choosing her, flaws and all — just watching her, supporting whatever she decided, being someone she could actually count on.
Back in 2018, he was just “Jowa 2018” on her planner — written down during a time when both of them swore they didn’t even believe in marriage. Now here they are in 2025, starting the next chapter together.
“Ikaw palagi sa bawat taon.”
John and Thia
John & Thia: A Love Story in Full Bloom
Before she was anyone’s “future Mrs.,” Thia was already someone extraordinary — crowned Miss Eco-International, a woman with a heart as radiant as her sash, using her voice for a cause bigger than herself. But in 2018, somewhere between the spotlight and the quiet moments after, she met a man who didn’t just see the crown — he saw her.
That was the year everything changed. John didn’t fall for the title. He fell for the way she lit up talking about the planet she wanted to protect, the way she noticed small things, the way she loved fully and without pretense. And Thia — used to being seen from a distance — finally felt known.
Years passed. Love grew quietly, steadily, the way the truest things do.
So when it came time to celebrate forever, there was only one place that felt right: Kyoto, in the spring of 2025 — because if there’s one thing Thia loves as much as she loves John, it’s cherry blossoms. The soft pink petals drifting like confetti, the fleeting beauty of sakura season, the way the whole city seemed to bloom just for them.
Under those blossom-heavy branches, two people who found each other in 2018 stood hand in hand, a little older, a little more in love, ready for the next chapter.
Some love stories are crowned. Theirs was simply meant to be.
Justin & Francine
There’s a moment in every love story where it just clicks — where you stop questioning and start believing this was written long before you even knew each other’s names.
For Francine, that moment came with Justin.
In her vows, she said it best: “It blows my mind but you are the person He’s created for me.” Not because of how he looks or how tall he stands, but because of who he is — kind, loyal, patient, understanding. The kind of love that shows up in the highs and stays through the lows. The kind that mirrors something bigger than both of them.
Justin isn’t just hers. He’s the answer to prayers said long before they even met — hers, and her parents’.
Surrounded by green fields and the quiet beauty of Sefriya Farm and Orchard in Batangas, they finally said “I do” — and it felt less like a beginning and more like everything finally falling into place.
Some love stories you write. Others, you just get to live.
Kem and Jaunne
Kem & Jaunne: A Love Story from Baguio to Canada
Both from Baguio, their paths crossed at Saint Louis University, somewhere between Architecture deadlines and late-night shifts. They started as friends — no expectations, no rush — for a whole year. But sometimes, the quietest beginnings turn into the most beautiful stories.
Then came 2014, the year of Jaunne’s debut. Just eight days later, everything changed — they were officially together, and from that point on, there was no looking back.
Three years into their relationship, they faced one of the hardest chapters of their story: Kem moving to Canada, where his family had settled. Distance came between them, but it was never strong enough to break a love already built on years of friendship.
Jaunne spent 8 months in Canada; Kem, 4 years. Different lengths of time apart, but the same goal — to finally be together for good.
October 2021 — their first wedding, quiet but full of hope.
December 2023 — their second wedding, this time in the Philippines, surrounded by family and loved ones who witnessed a love story that began in Baguio and traveled all the way to Canada.
From the hallways of the Architecture building to saying “I do” not once, but twice — proof that real love, no matter the distance, always finds its way home.
Mark and Chella
It started in Australia, in the middle of winter, when Mark got down on one knee and Chella said “Yes”. Cold weather, warm moment — the kind you don’t forget.
So for their prenup shoot, winter felt right again. They chose Shirakawa-go, snow covering the old rooftops, everything quiet and white. A different country, same season as where it all began.
And because anyone who knows Chella knows she’s a Swiftie through and through, there’s something fitting about her getting her own love story moment — snow, love, and a little bit of that Taylor Swift magic in the background.
Michael and Ejiya
It started with a peek through a window.
Ejiya still remembers that day — Michael waiting outside, and her, too shy to walk out and meet him, choosing instead to steal a glance from behind the glass. Cream pants, she noticed. A small detail, the kind you don’t think will matter, until years later it does.
Because there he was, on their wedding day — the same man, this time in cream pants and a barong, standing at the altar, ready to make her his forever.
Sometimes the universe writes the story before you even realize you’re in it.
Michael calls it kismet — meeting her by chance, loving her like a gamble worth taking, and somehow, being loved back in return. Not something he earned, but something he calls a blessing. A wife to share his joy with, to stand beside through every struggle, to build a love that only grows from here.
From a shy glance through a window to a lifetime of “I do” — Michael and Ejiya’s story proves that even the quietest beginnings can lead to the loudest kind of forever.
Nic and Pat
Back in college, Pat turned down a lot of guys — not because she wasn’t interested, but because none of them ever really said what they meant. Everyone wanted to “get close” to her, nobody wanted to actually court her. So she friendzoned them, one after another, without really thinking twice about it.
Then Nic came along and just… said it. Straight up told her he wanted to court her. No mixed signals, no guessing games. And that was kind of the whole thing — Pat wasn’t used to that kind of directness, but she liked it.
That was years ago. And now here they are, married.
It’s funny how home isn’t always a place you grow up in. Sometimes it’s a person — someone you didn’t know you were looking for until you found them. For Pat, that’s Nic.
Rei and Cha
It started in Nagatoishi, of all places. Rei saw Cha buying a drink from a vending machine — nothing special, no signs of forever just yet. He had no idea that the woman standing there would end up being his wife, his best friend, his person for everything. But that’s how it goes sometimes — you don’t know until suddenly, you just do.
Almost 4 years after that, Rei asked Cha to be his girlfriend. Cha admits it herself — who would say no, when the looks alone were already a win. But that’s not what made her fall harder. Over the years they spent together, she saw who Rei really was — kind, steady, someone who stayed strong through every hardship life threw at him. She saw how much he valued his family. And more than anything, she saw the strength of his faith in God.
Both far from home, building a life together in Fukuoka, Rei and Cha finally made their way back to the Philippines — to stand before God and family, in one of the well-known INC churches near the Philippine Arena, and make it official.
Yancy & Rachel
Rachel used to be pretty anti-love, honestly. She’d gotten bitter about relationships in general, even Valentine’s Day — she just stopped believing in forever. Then 2018 rolled around, and out of curiosity (or maybe boredom), she downloaded Tantan. She wasn’t even serious about it at first. But that’s where she met Yancy.
It wasn’t smooth sailing right away, though. Rachel didn’t want to meet up at first. Yancy had his own doubts too.
But after two weeks of talking, they finally convinced each other to meet. June 10 — their first date, and of all places, they met near INC Central. After that, they watched a movie together — the one with Dingdong and Anne Curtis — then grabbed Rachel’s favorite: Buffalo chicken wings. Simple date, but that’s really where everything started.
Then the pandemic hit, and both of them took whatever jobs they could get by — Rachel worked security for Lalamove, while Yancy drove for both Lalamove and Grab. Life wasn’t easy back then, but if there’s one thing they both had in common, it’s that neither of them was new to hardship. If anything, it made them tougher — together.
Fast forward, and they were already building a house in Bulacan before Yancy even proposed — like they already knew where this was headed, official proposal or not.
April 6, 2024 — Aurora Music Fest. Yancy had it all planned out: he was going to propose the moment December Avenue took the stage to sing “Sa Ngalan ng Pag-ibig.” But plans don’t always go the way you script them. Before that moment even came, Moira started performing “Dito Ka Lang” — and something about it just felt right. Yancy couldn’t wait any longer. He proposed right there, mid-song, unscripted — and it ended up being the moment that went viral that day.
From an app Rachel almost didn’t believe in, to an unplanned “yes” in the middle of a concert crowd — 8 years later, on April 9, they finally said “I do.”
